Job Description

Salary: 85,000 - 115,000 USD per year Requirements:

  • We require candidates to have the following qualifications for the SQL Database Administrator position:
  • An active Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen without Dual Citizenship to another country due to federal requirements.
  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of experience in database administration or related technologies.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL.
  • Availability to work on-site at a government facility in Colorado Springs, CO, five days per week.
  • Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to the work location.
  • Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.
Responsibilities:
  • In your role as a SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:
  • Administering and maintaining SQL Server database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
  • Monitoring database operational status and performance to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Overseeing database replication monitoring and fault correction.
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing strategies for optimization.
  • Designing databases, conducting data modeling, and managing schemas to meet application requirements and performance goals.
  • Implementing and maintaining database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption.
  • Conducting capacity planning and forecasting to support future growth.
  • Developing and maintaining efficient database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborating with development teams to optimize SQL queries, database code, and stored procedures.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to database configurations and troubleshooting.

Salary ranges will be aligned with job duties and relevant work experience. The minimum salary for this position is $85,000.00, and the maximum salary is $115,000.00.
