Location : McGrath Elementary School in the Newhall School District

Salary: $18/hour

Status : Part-time, Non-exempt

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 1:30 PM - 5/6 PM, and Fridays, 11:30 AM - 5 PM or 6 PM.

**TRAINING WILL BEGIN IN JUNE AND THE JOB WILL BEGIN AT MCGRATH ELEMENTARY IN AUGUST IN NEWHALL**

You will work with children from various socioeconomic backgrounds, making a direct impact on their lives and futures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and delivery of youth development programs under the supervision of the School Site Manager, Site Coordinator, or Clubhouse Director.
• Develop meaningful relationships with youth in an after-school and summer program setting.
• Engage with children, ensuring their safety, participation, and enjoyment in activities.
• Supervise and interact with children (K-6th grade) during after-school hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals and initiatives.

All selected candidates will be required to undergo a background check , pre-employment drug screening , and TB test .

• MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
• Billingual Spanish preferred but not required
• Minimum of one year of experience working with children .
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with children in a positive and effective manner.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds , bend, and stand for long periods of time.
• Some college coursework preferred .
• Able to pass a drug screen, TB test and Federal background check
