LanceSoft is seeking a travel Sterile Processing Technician for a travel job in New Hyde Park, New York.
Location - 270-05 76th Avenue, New Hyde Park, 11042
SHIFT TIMES: 11:00PM - 07:00 AM/03:00PM - 11:00PM
Sterile processing certification (CRCST or CSPD) required.
2+ years experience required
CIS preferred.
All phases within Central Sterile and all services (including robotics). Utilize washers and atuoclaves -Steris & Sterrad.
SynergyTrak.
Dissembles, cleans, sterilizes, reassembles and packages sterile supplies according to specifications and/or manufacturer instructions and follows department protocols
Operates washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and additional equipment during sterilization procedures.
Adheres to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.
Retrieves used trays, instruments and equipment from various surgical and clinical hospital areas for decontamination.
Examines instruments and patient care equipment for cleanliness, proper assembly and functionality.
Identifies malfunctioning items, records related information, and promptly notifies supervisor or biomedical engineer.
Receives and fills requisitions from hospital departments and nursing units. Communicates with perioperative staff regarding related instrument needs.
Assists in ordering, stocking and maintaining department inventory levels.
Performs required duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment.
Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds, required. Manual dexterity, ability to stand, bend, lift and/or reach for extended periods of time, required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) and follow oral and/or written instructions, required
Scrubs may not be provided every day. Techs may come in scrubs & put on disposable scrubs before entering the department.
Hair/beard- covered
No outside shoes, no jewelry, no nail polish
Every other weekend required
