Senior Website Designer
Hiring states: FL, IL, MI, KS, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, or WI; MUST be willing to visit the Metro-Detroit area 6-9 times per year POSITION SUMMARY The primary focus of this position is creating compelling website designs for the credit union industry that effectively convey unique brand experiences. This role requires an ability to translate business needs into actionable creative solutions that make use of web design best practices to drive consumer behavior. Exceptional web/graphic design skills, communications and interpersonal skills required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Concepts and designs fully custom responsive websites, as well as template-based websites that convey unique brand experiences in a way that meets business objectives with minimal supervision and design direction within the deliverable deadlines.
- Leads the design team in presenting design and wireframe trends to staff.
- Creates wireframes that encompass what the client is looking for and create designs based off of the wireframes.
- Ensures all work incorporates defined requirements and brand guidelines and employs best practices in creative execution and user experience design, including a quality review on all creative deliverables
- Presents creative concepts externally to clients and to internal stakeholders by participating in kick-off meetings, design reviews, department meetings and training sessions as requested.
- Leads the collaboration with developers to ensure feasibility of design suggestions.
- Keeps up to date on design and technology trends to ensure work remains fresh and relevant. Coordinates research with other graphic designers.
- Follows client management process, procedures and documentation standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES - Must have a firm understanding of changing technology, including software and tools for Web Graphic Design
- Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple clients, staff and third-party resources.
- Familiar with cross-browser and mobile device compatibility
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate with team members effectively.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Possess high standards for any work they produce.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and changing requests.
- Effectively complete a high volume of production tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Take any requested changes, updates or feedback in stride while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Work with a sense of urgency and accuracy, possess a keen eye for detail.
- Be comfortable in an environment where priorities can shift, and collaboration is critical to success.
- Be current on new fads and trends.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic/web design, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a graphic / web designer or in a related discipline
- Experience designing for responsive websites and understanding how it works from desktop to tablet to mobile devices.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe CC software for graphics
- Some development experience or understanding of HTML5 and/or CSS3
TRAVEL May require light travel as needed to support clients and/or attend company events (Metro Detroit).

Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $79,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
