Senior Full-Stack Website Designer
- Residency in Michigan and 100% onsite work are mandatory

The Senior Full-Stack Website Designer will collaborate with a team of skilled programmers and designers to develop custom website solutions that are secure, engaging, user-friendly, and tailored to meet specific business objectives. The ideal candidate will be involved in gathering requirements from key stakeholders, creating and presenting design mockups, and participating in the CMS implementation and page build-out.
Key Responsibilities - Gather input and feedback from stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Develop and present intuitive design mockups that align with client goals and expectations.
- Actively participate in design critiques while staying current with the latest design trends.
- Build and implement designs across various CMS platforms.
- Write clean and compliant markup in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and perform any necessary remediation.
- Construct web pages with a focus on SEO strategy.
- Utilize Open Graph metatags, microdata tagging, and page schema for enhanced visibility.
- Manage updates, improvements, and support for existing clients.
- Provide accurate estimates for project time involvement.
- Troubleshoot client websites and integrate CMS or third-party systems.
- Foster and maintain strong, collaborative client relationships.
- Research and implement new tools, web development trends, and best practices to enhance the team's strategies and processes.
Required Skills and Experience - Education : Bachelor's degree in art, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience with Kentico and WordPress CMS platforms.
- Technical Proficiency : Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 standards, including [redacted] queries, selectors, properties, and their application within WC3 related to the interoperability of CSS, DOM, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, and supported frameworks.
- Javascript & jQuery : Proficiency in building or modifying existing code and integrations, specifically with Google Maps API and custom mega menus.
- Frameworks : Strong understanding of development frameworks, including Bootstrap 5 and Flexbox.
- Back-End Knowledge : Experience building custom UIs in WordPress using PHP and the Advanced Custom Fields plugin, with a solid understanding of back-end programming languages such as PHP and .NET, including coding and security standards.
- Accessibility : Experience coding for WCAG 2.2 standards.
- Design Tools : Proficient in graphic design platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe XD or Figma.
- Project Leadership : Ability to independently lead and execute projects.
- Design Sense : Excellent sense of visual design, including layout, composition, color, and typography.
- Professional Environment : A work location conducive to professional, video-based meetings.
- SEO & Analytics : Proficiency with SEO, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics.
- Client Engagement : Confidence in presentation and consulting engagements.
- Teamwork : Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills - Industry Experience : Experience in financial services or similar industries is a plus.
- Portfolio : A portfolio that includes websites (desktop and mobile) and optionally, illustration, animation/video, or print work.
