Mind Friend is a psychological well-being platform based in New York, dedicated to connecting individuals with psychologists, combating misinformation, and fostering open conversations about mental health. Through films, documentaries, and research-based content, we aim to raise awareness and destigmatise mental health challenges.

Internship Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated psychologist assistant to join our team. This hybrid internship offers a valuable opportunity to develop research and writing skills while contributing to impactful mental health projects. You will be supervised, mentored, and guided by experienced professionals, ensuring a supportive and educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting research on mental health topics.
• Assist in writing creative captions, blog posts, and social media content.
• Collaborate with therapists to create thoughtful and well-researched content.
• Support video production, from brainstorming to content development.
• Assist with social media strategy and online community engagement.

What You’ll Learn
Interns will be taught, supervised, and guided in developing the following skills:

• 🧠 Psychology Research Skills: Learn how to conduct in-depth research on mental health topics under expert guidance, enhancing analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• 🔍 Analytical Thinking: Develop strong problem-solving and data analysis skills through structured mentorship and real-world projects.
• 🔑 Independence & Management: Gain the ability to manage tasks and prioritise responsibilities while being supported in building confidence and autonomy.
• 💬 Professional Communication: Be guided in effective communication techniques, including professional email writing and collaborative interactions.
• 🤝 Collaboration with Mental Health Professionals: Learn to work closely with psychologists and mental health experts, gaining insights through supervised experiences.
• ✍️ Content Creation: Develop writing skills for social media, blogs, and marketing materials with creative guidance and feedback.
• 🎥 Conducting Interviews: Receive training on conducting interviews and learn how to translate insights into engaging content.
• 📈 Google Workspace Proficiency: Master productivity and collaboration tools through hands-on learning and structured supervision.

Requirements

• Degree in Psychology, Mental Health, Communications, or a related field (or currently studying).
• Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Passion for mental health awareness and effective communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
