Job Description The purpose of this position is to perform the role of a lead engineering technician on a large, complex task force. This requires comprehensive knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.
• Perform diverse and complex engineering assignments including, but not limited to space planning, mobilizations, action items, producing data sheets, and drafting engineering specifications and standards
• Interface with other discipline technicians to provide complete engineering support
• Develop procedure to track status on engineering progress
• Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
• Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
• Develop logs to track project deviations
• Assist with progress reporting via EZTrac and preparation of weekly and monthly status reports
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent required
• Proficient in use of Fluor specialized software programs
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Superior organizational skills, judgment, flexibility
• Excellent leadership skills
• Demonstrated proficiency on company standard personal computer equipment and software with the ability to train others
Other Job Requirements • Proof of U.S. citizenship is required
• Serve as a Company representative to external clients
• Participate in Fluor University for training and career development
• Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
• Provide feedback on personnel performance and development
• Participate and facilitate department/project meetings and training
