Nocturnist, Hospitalist: Float with excellent schedule 7 on/14 off Overview Indiana University Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking a Nocturnist-Hospitalist for float position to include IU Health Methodist, University, North, Saxony and West hospitals. The successful candidate will practice in a team-oriented, supportive, and collaborative environment. We are seeking physicians looking for a 1-2 year transition to fellowship specialty and/or experienced hospitalist with a desire for new environments. The position is dually employed by IU Health Physicians and IU School of Medicine with a comprehensive benefit package. Schedule 7 on/14 off (7p-7a) Travel required, with mileage reimbursement Key responsibilities include: Admit to inpatient or appropriate level of care; perform or supervise the performance of patient care services to include history and physical examination, diagnosis, daily patient evaluation, daily progress notes, discharge evaluation, discharge summary and medically manage for treatment of adolescent and adult patients. Support hospitalist APP's as needed for questions and unstable patients. APP role includes: all cross-over and bedside visits unless back up is required, contribute to work-up on new patients, manage transfer calls from outside hospitals and referrals. No procedures are required, open and closed ICU depending on the hospital Dual-employment with IUSM, opportunity to experience academic and community (suburb) environments. Faculty position working with students and Internal Medicine residents Medical co-management with multiple surgical services including PVS, CVS, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, etc. Qualifications Residency training in Internal Medicine Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana Rewarding Physician and Advanced Provider employment opportunities await with Indiana University Health Physicians.
