Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will apply Initiation Systems (IS) Engineering expertise to drive design support for manufacturing equipment improvements and upgrades. In this role you will work collaboratively with Project Managers and other Design Engineers, supporting various projects at a time. Assess and select potential equipment suppliers and contractors. Lead and coordinate small to medium-scale projects and programs. Contribute to process improvements, equipment solutions, and supplier development. Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulations. Uphold and promote IPL Corporate Values. Develop and implement best-practice solutions for assigned projects and tasks. Address a wide range of cross-functional technical challenges. Integrate regulatory and safety requirements into all programs. Deliver on commitments to meet financial targets. Participate in HSE studies, including Job Safety Analysis, HAZOPs, Process Hazard Analysis, and Management of Change. Engage hands-on in process design, development, design reviews, assembly, testing, safety assessments, installation, and commissioning. Commitment to safety in the workplace. Job Qualifications: ~ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering ~ CAD Design Experience to include 3D modeling ~5 Years of equipment and process design experience ~5 Years of experience with system design, installation, startup and commissioning. ~ Ability to maintain schedules and oversee cost management Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
