TRC is seeking a Machine Operator on behalf of their client located in Duluth, GA. Temp to hire opportunity!

 

Pay: $18-$20/hr based on experience
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday – Friday (1 position available)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join a production team responsible for processing utility billing mail. The primary role involves operating inserter and folding machines, ensuring that materials are correctly loaded and processed, and performing machine adjustments as needed. This position requires attention to detail, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow work orders accurately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring machine operations, resolving minor technical issues, and ensuring smooth production flow. While prior machine operating experience is preferred, it is not required. The company values candidates with a strong work ethic, the ability to learn quickly, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate inserter and folding machines according to job specifications
• Load and unload envelopes, paper, and other necessary materials into the machines
• Perform routine machine changeovers and adjustments to maintain workflow efficiency
• Monitor machine operation and quickly address minor malfunctions such as paper jams
• Utilize a computer interface to start, stop, and adjust machine settings as needed
• Ensure the accurate completion of assigned work orders, verifying that production requirements are met
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company safety protocols

Requirements:

• Machine operating experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret work orders accurately
• Basic computer skills for operating and monitoring machines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
• Ability to perform light lifting and stand for extended periods during the shift
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
