Overview:
Conducts training, competency evaluations, and in-service programs for Home Care paraprofessionals, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
•\tDevelops and delivers training using lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and multimedia aids.
•\tAssesses competency in laboratory settings and ensures compliance with NYS certification standards.
•\tProvides orientation, refresher training, and leadership development for home care aides.
•\tSupervises training associates and reports trainee progress.
•\tCollaborates with the Education Manager to design curriculum and conduct in-service programs.
•\tMaintains accurate documentation and prepares reports.
•\tAdheres to organizational policies on mandatory training, compliance, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
•\tGraduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•\tMinimum 1 year of experience in home health care (CHHA/LHCSA).
•\tExperience in supervising, training, and evaluating HHAs/PCAs, including transition planning.
•\tAbility to instruct aides in home-based care and conduct HHATP/PCATP training.
•\tEffective communication skills in diverse healthcare settings.
•\tAbility to travel locally via public transportation.
