Location/TimeZone (On-site/hybrid): 1 day onsite (Tuesday) Hybrid

Hours: 9 am start Monday-Friday is standard

What are the TOP Critical Skills or Must Haves skills

• Royalties exp in the music/publishing/media arena would be nice to have
• 3-5 years of relevant global licensing industry work experience, Experience in operations finance, accounting, and operations management preferred, knowledge of general accounting principles, strong Excel skills

• Royalty accounting is a HUGE plus

Principal Responsibilities – Royalty Compliance

• Review contracts for financial terms and compare to royalty statements, checking for compliance
• Tracing financials through a contract’s life cycle to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Advise internal teams how to correct entry errors that prevent statement processing
• Advise licensees how to resubmit statements that cannot be processed due to errors
• Troubleshoot access issues when licensees are not able to access our system
• Troubleshoot inquiries from Finance and offshore royalty reporting teams
• Complete ad hoc special projects and provide reporting for management as needed

Principal Responsibilities – Cash Collections/Compliance

• Reach out to licensees (customers) to collect/resolve open AR balances and royalty compliance issues
• Maintain collection reason codes to accurately identify the status of open receivables
• Monitor cash expected from licenses to ensure they are received in a timely manner
• Manage internal/ external ad-hoc requests as they relate to invoice account balances
• Point person for all withholding tax certificates ensuring they are received and sent to client's tax
• Assist the cash application team resolve unapplied payments
• Provide support to Sales Team and Finance Dept. as needed
• Play an active role during month-end close

Experience/Knowledge

• 3-5 years of relevant global licensing industry work experience
• Experience in operations finance, accounting, and operations management preferred

Education/Background

• B.A., B.S. in Business or Finance
