Lead Pastor: Newton Christian Reformed Church Job Description: Newton CRC in Newton, IA is searching for our next pastor. We are a church that is committed to worshiping the true and living God, walking according to His Word, and witnessing to others about Jesus Christ. Newton CRC seeks a full-time Lead Pastor who will shepherd us through his preaching and pastoral care. We look forward to growing together with our next pastor, as we follow Christ together. Responsibilities: Preaching and Teaching: Deliver biblically-based sermons and lead Bible studies. Ensure that the teaching ministry aligns with Reformed theology. Worship Leadership: Plan and lead worship services, including special services (e.g., Christmas, Easter). Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral care through visitation, counseling, and support to individuals and families. Conduct weddings, funerals, and baptisms. Newton Christian Reformed Church is committed to their mission of worshipping the true living God, walking according to His Word, and witnessing to others about Jesus Christ. This mission has been carried out since 1935 in the township of Newton, Iowa through the work of God's people He has called to Newton. We are a small church located in the heart of the neighborhoods of Newton. We strive to be a witness to the community around us, while at the same time growing and strengthening our own members. Sunday worship is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music, solid biblical teaching, and fellowship of the saints. Our congregation is multi-generational and has active participation from all age groups. We come from many different backgrounds, some having grown up in the church and CRC denomination, while others are new to the faith or have grown up in different congregations.
