Salary: $20+

We are looking for a full time dental insurance coordinator to be responsible for working with insurance companies to verify patients benefits, as well as calculating and collecting outstanding payments from patients. You should be proficient in using dental practice management software to update each patients file, run and monitor weekly and monthly reports to verify insurance payments received, and upload completed insurance forms into patients electronic files.

Dental Insurance Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Verifying patients dental insurance benefits. Ability to handle high volume of patient insurance verifications. Ability to complete breakdowns in a timely fashion for emergency patients.
• Explaining insurance benefits to patients.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Entering data into our dental practice management software.
  
• Posting payments made by patients.
• Following up on non-paid insurance claims.
• Managing late payments and overdue accounts.
  
• Uploading completed and correct insurance verification forms.
  
• Maintain a well-organized system of operation with appropriate team members.
• Ability to communicate and document all issues and resolutions effectively.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures, and abides by HIPAA regulations.

Dental Insurance Coordinator Requirements:

• High school degree, GED or related.
• Minimum of 2 years in a dentist office environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with data entry.
• Experience in dental practice management software.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and insurance billing codes.
• Team player attitude
• Ability to work full time Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
