Job Description

Data Scientist - Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid/Remote options available)

We are working on behalf an Insurance company with offices in Philadelphia that are an innovative provider of insurance solutions. We are looking to expand our team with a talented and passionate Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to optimize our products, services, and operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse large datasets, build predictive models, and provide insights that influence strategic business decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about data science and wants to make an impact as business level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large datasets to uncover insights and drive business decisions.
  • Develop and deploy predictive models
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to design data-driven solutions to complex problems.
  • Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve and refine models using new data and techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data science and machine learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in Python programming & SQL
  • Experience of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
