We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller at our Islandia , New York location. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations within the construction industry. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around overseeing our financial reports, managing staff, and working with SAGE 100.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of Work in Progress (WIP) reports and ensure they are completed accurately and timely.

• Manage and provide guidance to our accounting staff, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.

• Monitor and manage change orders, ensuring they are properly accounted for and reflected in our financial records.

• Oversee cost accounting processes and ensure they align with industry standards and company policies.

• Coordinate and implement the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Utilize SAGE 100 for various accounting operations, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and management.

• Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and timely.

• Oversee auditing processes, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with established procedures and standards.

• Manage and maintain our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency of use.

• Oversee the budget processes, ensuring they align with company objectives and financial goals.

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or a similar position.
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for financial management and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience with ADP - Financial Services for payroll and HR services.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for managing the company's relationships and interactions with customers.
• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions, including but not limited to, financial reporting, tax planning, and cash flow management.
• Capable of managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
• Proven experience in Auditing, capable of identifying discrepancies or inefficiencies and implementing corrective measures.
• Strong understanding of Budget Processes, able to plan, create, and manage budgets effectively.
