If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! (Please note that you MUST have significant commercial construction sales experience, ideally in the safety sector of construction in order to qualify for this role. This is a dealbreaker requirement .)

We are looking for a dynamic Outside Commercial Construction Sales Representative to develop and manage key accounts across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. With over 50 years as a global leader in highway safety products, we are dedicated to bringing cutting-edge safety solutions to a rapidly evolving market. Our products are sold and installed throughout North America and in over 100 international markets.

COMPENSATION: $70,000 base salary with unlimited commissions (skies the limit); earn up to 3% increase in base salary annually based on annual performance review, year over year.

Additional Benefits : Per diem, company vehicle, company cellphone, computer, monitor, etc. (for home office), fuel card, and full insurance benefits.

Traveling Expectations : On any given week, you must be willing to travel up to 4 days a week visiting customers which will require overnight stay. Zero out of pocket expenses. Other weeks, you may spend more time locally and/or work from home.

Office From Home : You must live within your sales territory of either the Carolina States or Tennessee but will work from home when not visiting customers in your sales territory.

Your Role:

As an Outside Commercial Construction Sales Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of business development, driving revenue, managing key accounts, and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with architectural, engineering, and design firms to ensure product specifications align with project needs.

What You’ll Do:

Drive Sales Growth – Identify, develop, and close sales and rental opportunities in the Carolinas and Tennessee.

Build Strong Client Relationships – Maintain and expand connections with existing and potential customers.

Engage with Industry Leaders – Work closely with commercial construction personnel.

Consultative Selling – Understand client needs and provide solutions using your technical knowledge of traffic safety and commercial construction.

On-Site Visits & Presentations – Meet clients face-to-face, attend regional conferences, and lead product demonstrations.

Distributor & Partner Management – Oversee multiple distribution partnerships to ensure efficient operations.

Project & Market Tracking – Stay ahead of market trends, pricing shifts, and upcoming construction projects.

Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with inside sales, logistics, and service teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.

Leverage Technology – Utilize Salesforce CRM for tracking sales activities and reporting.

Plan & Strategize – Maintain weekly itineraries, submit expense reports, and provide sales forecasts.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

3+ years of proven commercial construction sales experience in construction-related industries (highway/traffic safety, commercial, or vertical construction).

Strong background in commercial construction safety products and traffic control solutions is ideal.

✔ Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

✔ Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) & Microsoft Office Suite.

✔ Valid driver’s license & clean driving record.✔ Ability to travel a minimum of 4 days per week within the territory.
