We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our company's financial operations and guide us towards profitability and long-term success. The CFO will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This seasoned strategist not only understands current accounting and finance practices and trends but has proven experience adapting to and managing financial departments in start-up environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a deep understanding of and experience with financial management, monthly reporting, and start-up environments.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the company's financial planning, ensuring its financial reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments.
- Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure.
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations.
- Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers, etc.).
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports.
- Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.
- Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies.
- Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
- Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (budget coordinators, financial consultants, etc.).
- Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role; start-up experience is a must.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
- CPA is a strong advantage.
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
